The plastic injection molding process is simple and straightforward, and the basic operations in this manufacturing involve:
Clamping — The process of plastic molding starts with the clamping of the two halves.
Injection — In the injection phase, engineers fed the molten plastic into the manufacturing mold under high pressure. Engineers design the vent, runner, and gate with accurate dimensions, so the mold cavities are filled correctly.

Cooling & Opening — After this, the molten plastic is kept at room temperature, and then the engineers separate the two halves of the mold.
Dwelling — Once the cavities are filled, hydraulic or mechanical methods are used to exert more pressure to ensure the molds are filled.

Plastic and metal injection molding processes are highly cost-effective and faster methods to produce objects at a higher speed with shorter lead times. It is ideal for manufacturing both large and small volume products with higher quality. Injection molding is a repeatable process, and once the master mold is ready, several copies are easier to produce with the same detailing.
As this method supports a wide range of materials, higher customization is possible. Injection molding offers an excellent surface finish in both plastic and metal materials.
KARV Automation offers a complete range of injection molding processes to deliver the products with desired customizations. Some of the popular injection molding processes at KARV are:
It is employed to create hollow objects made up of plastic materials. The blow molding process includes heated molten plastic that is forced into a mold cavity under high pressure. Blow molding is majorly used to create plastic or glass bottles.

This wall molding method creates a plastic part with very thin walls. This kind of injection molding is utilized in manufacturing apparatuses, electronics fabrication, food containers, and more. The thickness ranges from 2mm to 4mm.
Inset molding is an advanced manufacturing process that involves encapsulating an earlier fabricated material in molten resin to create a finished part. This injection molding is suitable for increasing the strength of the product. This process is widely used in the medical, automotive, consumer products industry.
The liquid silicone injection molding is ideal for producing superior-quality plastic items that can endure chemical reactions and high temperatures. This injection molding method uses liquid silicone. This method is widely used for the robust fabrication of rubber parts.
